Just A Thought: Hey There HOPE!!

Hey There!!!  "Let us hold tightly witout wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep His promise."                                                                                                                  - Hebrews 10:23 (NLT)

A Thrill of Hope - ever think about that?  Man I like it!!!  Can't get enough of it.  Hope is like air - pure, crisp and clean.  It fills your lungs with vision and purpose for tomorrow no matter what's happening today.  You'll run out of breath for living if you don't breathe hope in and let it oxygenate your heart and body.  When you take hold of hope with a strong grip, it will enable you to face the heartbreak and challenges of today for the possibilities that lie beyond them.  It's funny how we can feel alone and isolated with our issues, when truth is athat we ALL face hardship...The economy, our health, the relationships we have, our careers, etc. are not immune to breakdown and chaos.

But when you have HOPE filling your lungs, leaking into your blood, giving your spirit pure oxygen, it lifts your eyes out of the problem and to the Savior.  He brings life where there is decay and atrophy.  He works a situation weighed down with sin and heartache, and turns it for our good and benefit.  We just gotta keep breathing in His hope and gripping onto it with a "Kung-Fu" like grip...determining to seize it...seize Him!  It's when we do this that He works what we're going through for our good and benefit.  It reminds me of that passage in Matthew 11; "heaven suffers violence and the violent take it by force..." - there has to be a resolve in us that no matter how dark the season is, we will look for and head for the Light.  The Hope.  Jesus.

Hebrews 6 says, "Hope is an anchor for our souls."  If you find yourself with the heaviness of heart or out of breath due to whatever it is you're facing, it's time to turn to the One that provides the air and grit for our hearts... The One who is HOPE.  Fix your eyes on Him, inhale Him in, and let the hope of Jesus fill your life and give you the energy to not just make it, but to thrive.
