When is the last time you gave up??

Was it your diet?  Was it a NetFlix series you didn't finish?  Or was it a relationship?  We all know someone who NEVER gives up.  That can be a really good thing AND it can also be a bad thing.  Typically we look at giving up as a bad thing... My kids are border line amazing at not giving up.  Trying to avoid bed time...it's funny sometimes the tactics they try just to get an extra two or three minutes... Laura and I really have to be on our game!  What blows my mind is most of the time thay are exhausted...you know what I'm talking about...they stop talking and start whining, the sassy attitude comes out to play...and not to mention the anger that pokes its head out..all the while we KNOW they NEED to go to bed.  But they HAVE to go to the bathroom and they NEED a drink and the list goes on and on...as cray cray as they are. 

We ADULTS can be the same way when it comes to our relationship with Jesus.  HE is patient and shows us grace when we refuse to give up!  In the spiritual life giving up is a great thing!  But because we are so used to it being a negative thing we continue to fight.  We continue to try to do things our way... we continue to make excuses...we continue to try to balance everything on our own...we coninue to be busy...we continue...when Jesus is saying STOP...let Me guide you, help you, comfort you and be all you need to have to be fulfilled. 

I want to encourage you to give up your plans, and trust that God has things under control for you and your family and your future. 

Psalm 32:8; "The LORD says, 'I will guide you along the best pathway for your life.  I will advise you and watch over you."
