Dr. Winfred Neely is an ordained minister of the gospel and a full-time professor of Pastoral Studies at the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. Prior to joining the faculty at Moody Bible Institute, Winfred served churches in the city of Chicago, his home town. Winfred brings to his ministry a global perspective, having served as a missionary/pastor in Senegal, West Africa for nine years.
Winfred serves as the interim pastor of Judson Baptist Church in Oak Park, Illinois. He is also involved in a global equipping ministry, speaking and conducting
workshops and training events at churches and conferences in the US and abroad. He has preached and taught in churches and conferences in Canada, the
Caribbean, Africa, The United Kingdom, and Continental Europe, the Island of Malta and the Middle East.
Dr. Neely earned his BA degree at Trinity International University (Deerfield,
Illinois), his MA at Wheaton Graduate School (Wheaton, Illinois) and his Doctor of Ministry Degree at Trinity International University. He is currently working on an advanced research degree in Old Testament at the University of Bristol, England. Winfred is an audio-blogger and radio commentator for Moody Radio. He is a published author, having contributed two chapters to the Moody Handbook of Preaching, one chapter in Heart for the Community, and he wrote the
commentary on 1 and 2 Samuel in the Moody Commentary on the Bible.
Winfred has been married to Stephne Neely for thirty-nine years. They have four adult children, and are the proud grandparents of seven grandsons, and two granddaughters.
