Meet Our Staff

 PastorTom

I'm Tom Roberts, Senior Pastor of West Highland Baptist Church since March 18, 2007. That's when my wife, Mary, and I answered the unanimous call to become Senior Pastor at West Highland. We have 5 children, 1 son in-law, 2 daughters-in-law, 11 grandchildren, and a grand-dog.  Mary and I love God's Word, His Church, and we especially love God's people. We are blessed to be part of this faith-filled congregation. And, we look forward to getting to know you.

 Kim Rayburn draft

I’m Kim Rayburn, Administrative Assistant for West Highland. My husband, Lloyd and I have 2 sons, a daughter-in-law and 2 grandsons.  One of my favorite Bible verses is Proverbs 3: 5-6: "Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight." I feel blessed to be serving at West Highland because I can see God working in the lives of this church family EVERYDAY.  Through the prayers I have seen answered and the conversations I am privileged to have, I know God is moving and working.  This is a warm, loving home that loves the Lord and ALL His children.  If you're in the area, please visit.

 Kathy

I’m Kathy Smith, Music Director at West Highland.  My husband, Jeff, and I have 4 daughters, 4 sons-in-law and 11 grandchildren.  One of my favorite Bible verses is: Psalm 98: 4 “Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth, burst into jubilant song with music!”  Serving at West Highland is a great opportunity to work with people who love God and love people.  Together we encourage each other to use our gifts and talents as we celebrate and worship HIM! What a blessing and joy it is.  If you want to experience a truly joyful worship service, come to West Highland this Sunday.

 GIBSON-MARK-32

I'm Sue Gibson, Director of Family Life and Educational Ministries at West Highland.  My husband, Mark, and I have 2 daughters, a son-in-law and 3 grandchildren.  We are excited to be serving the Lord here. As Paul writes in II Corinthians 12:9...."And He said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me."  We are amazed at God's awesome power as He works through His family at West Highland.  It is our desire to come along side families so they are led by Jesus, lead like Jesus and lead more to Jesus.
